Ruth Piner Jarman, 87, of Wallace, left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from the Brian Center of Wallace.

She was born on August 17, 1934, in Pender County; the daughter of the late Leslie and Gladys Wheeler Piner.  Mrs. Jarman was also predeceased by her husband, Ernest Jarman; her son, Jerry Jarman and her siblings, Richard Piner, Evelyn Norris and Dot Hicks.

Mrs. Jarman was a life-long dedicated member of Penderlea Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her two devoted daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Capps and husband, Terry of Willard and Susan Brinson and husband, Randy of Wallace; grandchildren, Kelly Grady and husband, Seth, Sean Capps and wife, Tamara, Shannon Stanley and Michael Jarman and wife, Kelly; great grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Chloe, Luke, Jaydn and Jordan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Ruth dearly.

Ruth was a loving mother and caring grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.  She enjoyed the simple things in life but her greatest joy was family.  Having a green thumb, Ruth could grow anything she planted. She enjoyed gardening and also cooking for her family on holidays.  Most of all, Ruth loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her life was a great example of that love.  Ruth will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Riverview Memorial Park with the Reverend James Marshburn officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace.
