Ruth Stephenson Register, 81, of Wallace passed peacefully from her earthly life  Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 9, 1940 in Longview, TX, the daughter of Wilburn J. Stephenson and Grace Ellie Steed Stephenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hearold Deane Register; grandson, Justin Hull; brother, William T. Stephenson; and half-sister, Betty Jo Staton.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Elaine Parker (Steve) and Betty R. Hull; son, Wilburn Register; grandsons, Jeremy "Nick" Hull and Dylan James Hull (Makayla); great grandchildren, Carson Hull, Jase Green and James Green (Crystal); sister, Barbara J. Buckner; many extended family members and friends.

Ruth was a member of Maple Hill Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian. She daily read her Bible and lived by the Holy word. In years past she enjoyed camping, riding in the boat with her husband, and family gatherings. Ruth was an exceptional homemaker and cook with baking being her specialty. Ruth had a sweet, sweet spirit,  gentle smile, and a strong faith in her Lord that will always be remembered.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Hollingsworth Cemetery followed by receiving of friends at the cemetery.
