Ruth Ellen Robinson, age 88, of Burgaw and formerly of Maysville went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 25, 2009 as she was surround by loving family and her devoted Huntington Health Care family.

She was born September 29, 1920 in Erwin and was the daughter of the late Elisha T. and Janie Keeter Todd. In 1949 she was also preceded in death by her husband Major F. Jones. She later married Vance T. Robinson who died in 1977.

Surviving are her daughters, Janie Jones Phillips, Margaret Jones Collins, Lennie Robinson Matthews and Diane Robinson Dorsey; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Carl Todd, Preston Todd and Leslie Keeter; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth loved her family dearly. She found great joy in the simplest things, but her greatest joy was her family. All of her life and even through her illness her faith in God never wavered. Her beautiful smile and delightful loving personality that was so enjoyed by all who knew her will forever be remembered.

To Ruth's many friends and the entire staffs of Huntington Health Care and Lower Cape Fear Hospice Ruth's family would like to thank you for every kindness and your loving care given to Ruth. We thank God, our Heavenly Father, for the gift of friends and caregivers; we pray His eternal blessings to all.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Wilmington National Cemetery with The Rev. David Adams officiating.

From 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009 Mrs. Ruth Robinson's body will lie instate at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
