Sandra Jones Blumeyer, 78 of Rocky Point, passed away on April 12, 2017 at her residence.

Sandra retired from Southern Bell after 28 years and loved her piano and singing with the Celebration Choir for over 15 years before giving it up due to declining health. Her genuine care and love for all who met her created many wonderful relationships with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; her son, David Blumeyer of Strasburg, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Kathie Blumeyer of Raleigh and Triston Blumeyer of Houston, Texas.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Kathleen Jones, and her three children, Michele Kathleen, Douglas, Jr., and Michael Scott.

A memorial service will be held on May 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Riley's Creek Baptist Church, 19845 NC Hwy 210 Rocky Point, NC.
