Sandra "Sandy" Marie Rivenbark King, age 44, of Burgaw died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 22, 1963 in Burgaw, the daughter of Alice Long Rivenbark of Atkinson and the late Alfred Burnice Rivenbark.

Sandy was a 1982 graduate of Harrells Christian Academy.

Sandy's warm heart and gentle spirit will forever be remembered. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her devoted husband, Felix King of the home; sisters, Virginia "Ginger" Smith of Kenansville and Kelly McGhee and husband, Mark, of Holly Ridge; many nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Charlie Watts.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Cindy W. King officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

Casketbearers will be Jerry Craft, Todd Jones, Larry Rivenbark, Moses Bland, Mike King, and Paul King.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
