Sara Alice "Sug" Fussell Messer, 81, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, and joined her loving husband, Jim, in Heaven.  "There are friends, there are family, and then there are friends who become family."

Sara will be remembered for her life of service, her patronage of education, and her love of Wrightsville Beach.  Her legacy lives on through all those whose lives her kindness has touched.  Thank you all for being a part of Sara's life.  In the spirit of her generosity, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
