Sarah Ricks Bailey, age 44, of Rocky Point died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at her home.

She was born November 11, 1963 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was the daughter of Sarah Estelle Ricks of Rocky Point and the late Arthur Ricks, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Ricks.

Surviving is addition to her mother are her son, Claven George Melton of Wilmington; daughter, Niki Johnson of Wilmington; brothers, John Ricks (Barbara) of Hampstead, Art Ricks III (Ginny) of Wilmington, and Robert Ricks of Rocky Point; nieces, Tricia Roberts, Lauren Ricks, Crystal Ricks, Kara Ricks and Karrie Millis; and great nieces, Maci Ricks, Sydnee Ricks and Kayla Millis.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw, one hour prior to the memorial service.

The memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Billy Fowler officiating.

Sarah was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
