Sarah Cranford Hall passed away peacefully at home with family and friends on January 11, 2014.

Mrs. Hall was born November 13, 1921 in Harris County, Georgia to Otis and Verna Cranford. She married RADM Donald P. Hall, USN (Ret.) on August 4, 1952. Mrs. Hall was a devoted Navy wife and mother for over 40 years before settling in Burgaw, NC in 1994.

Mrs. Hall was predeceased by her husband; her brother, Lawton Cranford and her sister, Mildred Carroll. She is survived by her son, CDR Donald R. Hall, USN (Ret.); three grandchildren, MAJ Donald P. Hall II USMC, Diana M. Shumar, and David C. Hall; and two great grandchildren, Kirsten Sarah Hall and Norah Elif Hall.

A service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment service for family will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014.
