Sean Patrick McGinn, 64, of Wilmington, NC passed from this life to his eternal rest on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

He was born on April 16, 1957, in Staten Island, New York; the son of the late James and Virginia "Ginny" McGinn.

Surviving to cherish Sean's memory is best friend and loving wife, Charme McGinn; his children, Dawn Walsh and husband, Michael, and Cole McGinn; grandchildren; Makayla Walsh, Naomi Walsh, and Liliana Walsh; sisters, Fran and husband, Phil, Siobhan and husband, Norman, and Moira and husband, Ed; brother, Terence and wife, Kat; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Sean was a loving husband and father and grandfather who dedicated his life to his wife and family.  He enjoyed Nascar and Dale Earnhardt was always his favorite driver.   Sean had a great love for horses and strived to help his fellow neighbors.  He was always lending a hand and helping fix anything that was broken.  He looked after his neighborhood like family and he even called himself the "neighborhood watch".   He never let his family give up and his favorite motto was "just try".  He will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Father John McGee, OSFS officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
