Sena Marie Teachey Wells, age 76, of Rose Hill left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on May 11, 1941 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Harry Ross and Helen Marie Mobley Teachey. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Rooks Wells; her siblings, Shirley Proffitt, Billy Teachey, Eddie Teachey and Harry Gene Teachey.

Marie was a long life member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted children, Joy Ellen Wells, Brenda Carol Wells and Adam Donald Wells and wife Heather, all of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Owen Scott Murray, Avery Wayne Murray and Emily Marie Wells; sister, Betty Sandlin and husband Edward; brother, Sammy Teachey and wife Betty; sister-in-law, Mary Teachey and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved Marie dearly.

Marie was a wonderful mother and caring grandmother and sister. She was a diligent homemaker and with a joyful spirit she filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. Being a good neighbor and friend she was loved by all who knew her. Marie will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at the family home and also from 1 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Rose Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with Pastor Steve le Roux conducting the service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
