Sharon Lynn Rich, 62, of Wallace, North Carolina passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

She was born on July 23, 1961, in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Norman Earl "Tom" Rich and Ruby Ezzell Rich.

Sharon is survived by her best friend and wife of 22 years, Sherrie Smith of Wallace and their special fur baby "Harley".  She is also survived by her devoted brothers, James Earl Rich and wife Meta of Wallace, Ronnie Rich of Wallace and Wayne Rich and wife Hope of Wallace; nephews Stratton Rich (Marianna) of Charleston, SC, Devin Rich (Brittany) of Beulaville; nieces, Caitlin Rich Miller (Jake) of Wallace, and Ann Marie Hanchey (Andrew) of Wallace; several great nieces and nephews; special lifelong friends Julie Forbes (Dillon) of Hampstead and Jamie Wilson of Wilson; numerous extended family and friends that loved Sharon dearly.

Sharon's favorite hobbies were fishing at the beach and playing the guitar.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart.  Sharon had a huge heart for animals of all kinds.  She will surely be missed but treasured memories of Sharon will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with visitation immediately following the service.
