Shirley Ann Bradley-Pierce, 80, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 17, 1942, in Bladenboro, NC, to the late Daniel Wayman Perry and Alice Reid (Walters) Perry.

Shirley was an animal lover who turned her passion for animals into a career. She started her own pet sitting business in Wilmington, known as Minder's Pet Sitting. She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for interior design. Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, James Edward Pierce; her son, John Christopher Bradley and wife, Rhonda Lee; her stepson, Ed Pierce; her sister, Carolyn Jean Franzyshen and husband, Frank Paul; granddaughter, Brittany Lee Williams; niece, Lori Ann Newton and husband, Bill; nephew, James David Ellis and wife, Karen; and her beloved cats, Max and Cleo.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayman Herman Perry.
