Shirley Brock Cavenaugh, age 84, of Wallace left this life for her eternal rest on Monday, December 20, 2021 from DaySprings of Wallace.

She was born on November 14, 1937 in Duplin County to the late Melvin Ellis and Mildred Harrell Brock.  Shirley was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Bobby Dural Cavenaugh and son, Bob Scott Cavenaugh.

Shirley was a member of Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving is her son, Tommy Dural Cavenaugh of Wallace; grandson, James Lee Cavenaugh of Beulaville,  caregiver and friend, Rita Harrell of Beulaville; numerous extended family and friends that loved Shirley dearly.

Shirley was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.  She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. When Shirley's health permitted, she was a diligent homemaker, and her home was filled with love for all who entered.   Being a good neighbor and friend, she was loved by those who knew her. Shirley loved the Lord and her church family.  She will truly be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Chapel.
