Shirley Rowena Jacobs, age 89, of Hampstead, NC passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Woodbury Wellness Center in Hampstead, NC.

She was born on May 2, 1934 in New Cambria, MO to the late Clarence Jacobs and Bonnie Jacobs.

Shirley enjoyed sewing and she liked to read novels. She also enjoyed playing with her great-grandchildren. Shirley was a loving sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a bright light to many and will be dearly missed.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Dean Jacobs (Peggy); sister, June Jacobs; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Robert Carter; daughter, Robin Hurd; sister, Betty Jacobs; and brother, Alvin Jacobs.
