Obituary

Sidney Dale Harrell, 59, of Teachey passed gently from his earthly life on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Newnan, Georgia. He was born November 20, 1955 in Duplin County, the son of Edna Garner Harrell of Teachey and the late Alton Harrell. Also, Sidney was preceded in death by his brother, John Joseph Harrell and sister, Marie Hall.

In addition to his mother, Sidney is survived by his "everything", Pam Lasseter; children, Jesse Harrell, Josh Harrell and Paula Harrell Melton (Gideon); four grandchildren, Ariel Harrell, Raegan Harrell, Peyton Harrell and Dustin Harrell;, brothers, Joe Harrell, Danny Harrell, Bruce Harrell (Debbie), and David Harrell; sister, Annette Whaley (Edward Lee); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sidney was currently employed with Chicago Bridge and Iron as a crane operator of the largest land based crane in the world. He was instrumental in the current construction of two nuclear power plants being built in Jenkinsville, SC. Excelling in his profession which he dearly loved, Sidney's work ethic was impeccable. Above all else he loved his family and was a caring and generous man.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Duplin Memorial Gardens.
