Stephen Alexander Pridgen, age 87, of Kelly passed gently from his earthly life Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center.

He was born October 11, 1932 in Currie, the son of the late Herman B. and Gertrude Pridgen.

Stephen is survived by his sister-in-law, Virginia Pridgen; nephew, Kevin "Buddy" Pridgen; nieces, Faye Pridgen McDuffie and husband, Virgil and Angie Pridgen Lee and husband, Jimmy; and many extended family.

Stephen served proudly and honorably in the US Navy, retiring after serving over 22 years.

He was a quiet, humble man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2019 at Long Bluff Cemetery, Tram Road, Currie. The Rev. Merrell McKoy will conduct the service.
