Steve Elige Covington, 76, of Willard, NC, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at NHRMC in Wilmington.

He was born on April 20, 1945, in Palm Beach, Florida, to the late Oliver and Mildred (Dover) Covington.

Steve, a loving husband, father and grandfather, loved to fish, hunt and watch western movies. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Margaret (Holloway) Covington; son, Stephen Elige Covington; daughters, Ellen Hoye and husband, Kyle, Crystal Covington; brother Ray Brooks and wife, Ruthy; sisters, Ann Williams and husband, Junior, Evelyn Poole, Ellen Merritt; grandchildren, Jeremy (Big Bug), Jason, Kaitlyn, Chloe, Joseph, Swayze, Everleigh and Tynleigh.

In addition to his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Covington.

There will be no services at this time.
