Steven Dale Yopp, age 47, of Burgaw died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 8, 1962 in New Hanover County, the son of the late Allen and Janice Yopp.

Surviving are his fiancee, June Yates; his sons, James Yopp and Justin Yopp and friend, Samantha Christie; granddaughter, Kali Rae Yopp; step-son, C.J.Yates; step-daughter, Samantha Yates; brother, Randy Yopp and sisters, Janice Lawhorn and Debbie Godwin.

Steve was employed with Mundy Construction Company.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 pm Friday, September 18, 2009 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
