Steven Vernon Shaffier, Sr., 63, of Burgaw passed gently from his earthly life on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Ashe Gardens in Burgaw.

In addition to his mother, Steven is survived by his sons, Steven Shaffier (Cheryl) and Michael Shaffier (Tammy); grandchildren, Alexis Shaffier, Courtney Shaffier, Brittany Herbert, Jonathon Shaffier and Kayla Shaffier; sister, Linda Watson (Clifford); and brother, Charles Shaffier (Stephanie).

Steven was a master craftsman and carpenter by trade. His passing leaves an empty place in our hearts. We cherish our memories of Steven

Funeral service will be by invitation. Steven will be laid to rest in Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pulaski, Virginia.
