Steven Shankles, age 73, of Burgaw and formerly of Robersonville passed away from his earthly life Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

He was born November 16, 1950 in Carter County, Tennessee, the son of Ottis Shankles and Virginia Morgan Shankles. In addition to his parents Steven was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shankles; sister, Connie Nichols; and brother, David Shankles.

Steven is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Bruce Rea; and one nephew, Billy Vines.

He was an active member of Grace Family Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church in Robersonville, NC. He also often volunteered with the Salvation Army.

Steven was a Christian man who loved his family. Being the sharing, caring man that he was Steven loved helping others.
