Hazel Ruth "Susie" Jones, age 79, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2020 from the Brian Center of Wallace.

She was born on December 30, 1940 in Brevard, NC; one of twelve children of the late R.V. and Margie Johnson Jones.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jessie H. Jones, William L. Jones, James "Jim" Jones, Betty Jones Smith, Winford Calvin Jones,  Barbara "Bobbie" Davis, Rose Wainwright, Kenneth "Buster" Jones, Keith Jones and Tommy Jones.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Tommy Lee Jones of Penderlea; sister, Jeanne Jones Boone and husband, Sammy of Teachey and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that loved Susie.

Susie was loving mother and caring sister who loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed watching television but she mostly enjoyed listening to it on the radio.  Susie loved people and especially loved the staff at the Brian Center.  With a witty personality she could always make you smile. She was a great jokester who loved to laugh and make others laugh with her.  Susie was special and will surely be missed but memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Potts Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Willard with Reverend Sammy Boone officiating.
