Susie Harrell Jones, 85, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Monday, February 24th, 2020 from DaySpring of Wallace.

She was born on June 18, 1934 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Jesse C. and Ada Wilson Jones.  She was also predeceased by her grandson, Chris Jones; great grandson, T.J. Mattox; sister, Nellie Garner and brothers, Alton and Jim Harrell.

Susie was a member of Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 67 years, William R. "W.R." Jones of the home; sons, Glenn Jones and wife, Judy of Rose Hill, James Jones and wife, Blanche of Wallace and Billy R. Jones and wife, Winnie of TN; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brother, Jesse Harrell and wife, Becky of Wallace and numerous extended family and friends that loved Susie dearly.

Susie was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She enjoyed the simplest things in life but her greatest joy was her family.  Being  owner and operator of  "Susie's" beauty shop, she acquired many friends and developed great relationships throughout the years.  Susie was a loyal friend; a strong yet gentle and loving presence to all who were blessed to know her. Most of all, Susie loved the Lord and tried her best to please Him.  Susie will surely be missed but she left behind great memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

Funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00pm at the funeral home with her pastor, the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating.
