Ivanhoe: Sylvia Lynn Dyson, 53, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1955 in Louisa, Virginia, the daughter of Zelma Pelton Wilbourne of Inverness, Florida and the late Dwight Ozment.

Sylvia was a kind and caring person with a sunny smile and a quick wit. She loved and was loved in return and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Frank Dyson of the home; sons, Robert Boyd and Matthew Boyd of Inverness, Florida; step-daughter, Melissa Dyson of Charlotte and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw.
