Tammy Gale Burgess Manawi, age 53, passed away on March 17th 2015. She was born in Burgaw, NC on January 3rd, 1962 and is the daughter of Judith Marie Rogers (deceased) and Vernon Wendell Shivar.

Tammy, or "Honey" as her granddaughter Arabella would say, loved her family with all of her heart. She was usually the first one there in our time of need, with only herself and her time to offer us. Her daughter, Cherry, was the apple of her eye until "Bella" was born. Bella gave her "Honey" the peace and happiness she had been searching for most of her life.

Tammy is survived by her daughter Cherry Marie Burgess, her granddaughter Arabella Marie Tucker, her brothers Clifton Bryant & Charles Bryant, her grandma Doris Richardson, her 3 sisters Donna, Karen & Jennifer and her brother John. She has too many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends to list us all, but she loved each of us and rarely missed an opportunity to enjoy a family gathering. Her grandma Doris always gave her faith & strength and a great comfort and joy to her was Julia Grace & Laura Hope. Her eagerness to lend a helping hand or offer comfort & support to her family & friends will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, 315 Willow Woods Drive in Wilmington where a funeral will begin at 3PM. Burial Riverview Memorial Park.
