Tammy Donaldson White, 41, of Burgaw and Hampstead passed gently from her earthly life to God's care in her Heavenly home on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.

She was born August 18, 1968 in Onslow County and was the daughter of the late Jimmy Wayne Donaldson and Geraldine Harris Donaldson. Also remembered is her uncle who was like a father to Tammy, Larry Cavanaugh. Tammy leaves behind her beloved family; husband, Stephen White; daughters, Mindi White and Keri White all of the home; brothers, Victor Henderson of Chinquapin and Trampas Henderson (Kathy) of Wilmington, DE and Jimmy Wayne Donaldson of Burgaw; sisters, Tina Pate of Burgaw and Pamela Szymanski (Brian) of Wilmington, DE; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Rosalie White of Burgaw; sister-in-law, Lisa McLauchlin (Chris) of Raleigh; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends that Tammy loved so dearly.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Burgaw Baptist Church with The Rev. Phillip Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Burgaw Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.

Tammy was a wife, mother, sister and friend; always loving, caring, steadfast and faithful to all. She fought her illness the same way she lived her life, with an internal strength and sense of purpose, never giving up hope. She valued her faith in Jesus Christ and her family above all else. She gave Mindi and Keri life; and the rest of us her beautiful spirit, her loving kindness and her abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Tammy showed us all how to spend our time on this earth wisely and keep the faith. What a blessing it is that the caring Tammy has lived among us. We thank our Heavenly Father, for the gift of family and friends and pray his eternal blessings to all.
