Terry Leamon Rivenbark

Terry Leamon Rivenbark, age 75, of Wallace left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

He was born on April 30, 1951 in Duplin County; the son of Lucille Garriss Rivenbark of Wallace, North Carolina and the late Joseph Rivenbark.  Terry was also preceded in death by his son Jacob "Jake" Rivenbark and grandson Jesse James Ferrell.

Surviving along with his mother, is his children Tammy Jo Zwettler and husband Al of Illinois, Todd Rivenbark and wife Michelle of Pink Hill and Jeffrey Rivenbark of Pink Hill; grandchildren Kayla Nicole Ferrell, Dakota Rivenbark and wife Brianna, Dessa Montana, Zoe Laken Rivenbark, Mylee Nicole Rivenbark and Kaiden Rivenbark; brothers Kenneth Randy Rivenbark and Glenn Rivenbark and wife Pamela, all of Wallace; sister Ava Jo Richard and husband Gary of Wallace; great granddaughter Reanna James Ferrell and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Terry dearly.

Terry was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest things in life.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.  He enjoyed taking his boat out on the Northeast River just enjoying nature and also sitting around the "old bus" with a campfire going and enjoying each others company.

Terry was an excavator operator for many years.  With his CDL license, he hauled equipment and helped several farmers haul corn during the corn season.  Terry loved to work and until his health drastically failed he continued to keep his CDL license active.  Terry also worked at the State Port in Wilmington for over 10 years.

Terry loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren.  He was the happiest when he was at the river and spending time with family and friends.  He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Terry.

Graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.
