Thadius "Ted" Joseph Garwicki, Jr. of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023 at Morningside of Wilmington at the age of 93.

Ted was born on February 16, 1930 in Wilmington, DE to the late Helen Garwicki and Thadius Joseph Garwicki, Sr. He had two sisters, Claudia and Deloris.

He served 4 years in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic and was a Korean War Veteran. After leaving the Air Force, he moved to Colorado and then onto Carlifornia where he lived for many years in the Bay Area with his wife, Norma, and their 4 children.

He loved the outdoors from fishing, camping, cutting and splitting firewood, golfing and raising pigeons.

Ted and Norma moved to Wilmington, NC in 1996. Where his new love was the ocean where he loved to surf fish and swim.

Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Norma M. Garwicki; and son, Michael J. Garwicki.

Ted is survived by his children, Sherri Still (John), Scott Garwicki (Silvia), and Kim Vinyard; his grandchildren, Karen, Diana, Kevin, Bryan, Courtney, and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kailie, Jacob, Darian, Ethan, Caleb, Beckett, and Nathaniel.
