Theodor Linnartz III, age 73, of Riegelwood passed away June 10, 2016 at Ashe Gardens Memory Care in Burgaw.

He was born February 2, 1943 in Holland the son of the late Theodor Linnartz and Anna Keller Linnartz.

Theodor honorably served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. Following his service he began a long career with International Paper in Riegelwood, North Carolina. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time fishing on the water in his boat but most of all he enjoyed spending time in the company of his family.

Left to cherish is memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Linnartz; five sons, Theodor Allen Linnartz (Lisa), Scott Linnartz (Lisa), Jeremy Linnartz (Melissa), Jerome Linnartz (Marie) and Van Linnartz (Lee); eight grandchildren, Sarah O'Briant, Jesse Linnartz, Dovie Linnartz, Phillip Linnartz, Gabbie Linnartz, Rebekah Linnartz, Wyatt Linnartz and Bryan Linnartz; brother, Franklin Linnartz; sister, Mary Keil; special friend, Rob Van Velson; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, June 13, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, Wilmington Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
