Theressa Woodcock, age 84, of Rocky Point passed gently from her earthly life to her eternal rest on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 10, 1928 in Pender County and was the daughter of the late O. Stedman and Catherine Lee Woodcock. Theressa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Elmer Woodcock and her son, Kenneth Elmer Woodcock.

Theressa leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Minzet Peedin (Bill) of Burgaw, Dale McArtan (John) and Pansy Faircloth (Bobby) all of Rocky Point; granddaughter, Crystal Turner (Robby); grandsons, Michael Faircloth and Marcus McArtan; and great granddaughter, Robin Turner.

Theressa loved her family was the BEST wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother anyone could ask for. She was the center of her beloved family and created a home filled with love, joy and excellent cooking. In years past, Theressa could often be found working in her garden and flowers. She kept a sparkling clean house and with Robert's help had a beautiful yard. More recently she enjoyed painting and making crafts in the activity room at Pender Hospital Skilled Nursing unit. Her warm heart and gentle spirit is cherished and will be missed, but not forgotten.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Woodcock Cemetery with the Rev. Parthena Skipper officiating.
