Thomas "Chip" Bordeaux Carr, Jr., 67, of Willard passed from his earthly life Monday, April 18, 2022 at Novant Medical New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born on September 13, 1954 in Pender County to Thomas Bordeaux Carr and JoAnn Hedgpeth Carr. Chip was also predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Carr.

Chip is survived by his wife; Lynn Carr; daughter, Stacy Carr; grandchildren, Jaley Carr and Kaden Powell; sister, Cindy Simpson (Mike), and many nieces and nephews.

Chip was a dedicated husband, daddy, son, grandfather; and brother who loved his family. In his younger years he enjoyed being around water as he loved to fish and water ski. Chip was dearly loved by his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Potts Memorial Church Cemetery, 4125 NC Hwy 11, Willard, NC 28478 with Reverend Dean Walker officiating the service.

Following the graveside service, the family will visit with family and friends at the cemetery.
