Thomas Earl Dixon, 79, of Willard, NC, left his earthly life for his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

He was born on November 15, 1941, in Pender County, NC, the son of the late Robert and Mary Katherine Fitzgerald Dixon.  He was also preceded in death by his best friend and loving wife of 50 years, Charlotte Ann Jones Dixon.

Mr. Dixon was a member of Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving girls, Becky Henderson and husband, Brad of Pin Hook, NC, Linda Bynum and husband, Michael of Richlands, NC, and Vickie Johnson and friend, Larry Johnson of Willard, NC; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends that loved Thomas dearly.

Thomas was a loving husband and caring father, grandfather, and friend.  He was a simple man who worked hard all his life to provide for his family. Thomas enjoyed going floundering with Randy Jones and playing with his grandchildren.  With a green thumb and a giving spirit, Thomas grew vegetables in his garden and shared them with neighbors and friends.  He was a kind and generous man that would give the shirt off his back to those in need.  Most of all, Thomas' first love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, next was his devoted love for his wife. Never has there been a man who loved his wife as he loved Charlotte.  Thomas will surely be missed; but treasured memories will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Park with Pastor Clint Jones conducting the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Thomas's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
