Thomas \\"Tom\\" James Nuzzo, 72, of Rocky Point, NC died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. He was retired from the Department of Defense, working at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for over 30 years.

Thomas was the father of eight children, Bunny Candiano, Tom Nuzzo, Jim Nuzzo, Steve Nuzzo, Chris Nuzzo, Bob Nuzzo, Mike Nuzzo, and Richard Nuzzo. He is also survived by 17 beloved grandchildren; three great grandchildren and his fiancee, Margaret Dunn.

A private family ceremony was held Monday evening, September 13, 2010.

Tom loved all animals and in his memory memorial gifts may be given to Pender County Humane Society, PO Box 626, Burgaw, NC 28425.
