Thomas James Rackley, Jr., age 77, of Rose Hill passed from this life to his eternal rest on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from ECU Health Duplin Hospital.

He was born on May 20, 1946, in Duplin County; the son of the late Thomas James Rackley, Sr. and Annie Ruth Lane Rackley.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Wilbur Dallas Rackley and sister Margaret Ann Treihart.

Surviving are his brothers, Decatur Rackley and wife Jeannie of Wallace and Robert Rackley of Willard; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Thomas dearly.

Thomas was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest things in life. He was a kindhearted man who loved his family and friends.  Thomas loved to fish, spending time outside and spending time with family and friends.  Thomas was loved by many, and he will be greatly missed.
