Timothy Earl Gurganus, age 52, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home.

He was born April 9, 1966 in Wilmington, the son of Earl Gurganus and the late Peggy Carter Coley.

Timothy is survived by his son, Dalton Hunter Gurganus (Lauren Morgan); grandson, Bradley Lake; father, Earl Gurganus and his wife, Margaret; brothers, Stewart Mills and Greg Mills and many extended family and friends.

Hunting, fishing and enjoying all of God's bountiful, beautiful nature were all pleasures that Timothy enjoyed, but most important in his life was family. He had a heart of gold with a great sense of humor. He never met a stranger and loved putting a smile on one's face whether by way of a joke or a prank. Timothy was loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends 2 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with service beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Gurganus Cemetery.
