Timothy "Tim" Graham Williams, III, age 71, of Teachey passed away on Sunday morning, February 6, 2022 at Vidant Duplin Hospital.
He was born on August 26, 1950, in Duplin County; the son of the late Timothy Graham Williams, Jr. and Aleene Register Williams.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his best friend and devoted wife of 48 years, Janice Cottle Williams; daughter, Tammy Corbett and husband, Chris of Wallace; grandchildren, Leslie Cavenaugh and husband, Joshua and Emily Corbett; great granddaughter, Izabella Cavenaugh; sister, Rebecca Godbold and friend, Albert Taylor of Dudley; mother-in-law, Virginia Cottle of Teachey; brother-in-law, McRay Cottle of Teachey; special friends, Carey and Cynthia Alford and numerous extended family and friends that loved Tim dearly.
Tim or "Hambone" as he was affectionately call, was a loving husband and caring father, grandfather and brother. He found great joy in the simplest of things of life, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. They were the 'apple of his eye'! Tim was known as "Hambone" by many people in the CB radio world. Throughout the years, he acquired many friends thru the waves of CB communication. Tim enjoyed electronics and his favorite piece of electronics was the TV remote control. He always made sure it was handy so he could watch his favorite TV shows such as Combat, Andy Griffin and westerns. Tim was a people's person, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending the weekends at White Lake relaxing and talking with people. Tim will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Teachey Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Richardson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. until 12p.m., one hour prior the service on Wednesday at the church.
Burial will follow the service at Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC
Casketbearers will be Joshua Cavenaugh, Emory Brown, Jordan Alford, Carey Alford, Sam Lanier, Blake Cottle and James Boney.
Honorary casketbearers will be Carey and Cynthia Alford.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gifts be sent in memory of Tim to Teachey Baptist Church, PO Box 158 Teachey, NC 28464.
