Tracey LaDawn Overby Garner, 49, of Rocky Point left her earthly life on wings of angels Friday, March 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born February 8, 1971 in Wilmington, the daughter of Kay Trump Overby and the late Dwight Wayne Overby. Also loved and remembered are twin daughters, Hannah and Faith who preceded Tracey in death.

In addition to her mother Tracey is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Mark Garner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Not to be forgotten is Tracey's beloved furry companion, Sammy.

Tracey graduated from Pender High School, Fruitland Bible College and attended James Sprunt Community College. Tracey, an exceptional Christian lady, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She served as Youth Minister in several churches, spoke as a Christian humorist to women's groups, was proficient at miming, and had a comedy ministry. Tracey had a gift with words and a special way to share the love of Jesus. Being a poet, Tracy had three of her books of poetry published.

Being involved with many activities, Tracey, as a youth served as lifeguard at a Christian summer camp and she loved all kinds of art and crafts. Remembering Tracey: her radiant smile, her generous spirit, her love of laughter, her exuberant personality, and most of all her love of her Lord, Jesus Christ and her dear family.

The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church and at other times will be at the home of her mother, Kay Overby. The  funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary following visitation. The Rev. Dr. Jim Herchenhahn and The Rev. Dr. David Bays will conduct the service.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
