Trudi Jean Warner
Caison
Mar 19, 1941 — Sep 7, 2012
Trudi Jean Warner Caison, 71, of Wallace, NC died Friday, September 7, 2012 after a long illness.
A celebration of Trudi's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Edward Dowd and The Rev. Adrian Shepard officiating.
Trudi was born March 19, 1941 in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of Gertrude Parolini Chamberlin of Westfield, MA and the late Deane Milton Warner.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of fifty years, Arnold Caison; her four children and their significant others: Brent and Lena Caison of Chapel Hill, NC; Glen Caison and Moni Aguilar of Alcala de Henares, Spain; Angela and Eddie Kirby of Chapel Hill, NC; Linda and Cal Wallace of Chapel Hill, NC. Also surviving are her brother, Dan Parolini of Enfield, CT; her seven grandchildren: Ashleigh and Emma Caison, Alex and Melody Caison Ortiz, Ben and Celeste Kirby, and Bridget Wallace. She is also survived by her best friend of 61 years, Linda Emerson of Southampton, MA.
Trudi instilled in her children a love of music and animals; no one in Wallace loved opera as much as she, and her home was always a welcome place for family pets. She was a woman who excelled at arts and crafts. She sewed professionally for a number of years, and family and friends who knew her fondly remember dresses, Barbie doll dresses, prayer shawls, and tole paintings she gifted.
The family would like to thank Jennifer Register, Joyce Messick, Monica Bass, and the staff at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center for their thoughtful and loving care of Trudi during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physician's Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
