Uma Maheswara Rao Atluri, age 78, of Leland, NC passed away on April 23, 2021.

He was born on August 12, 1942 in India to the late Bhupat Rao Atluri and Jagadamba Valluripalli.

Uma Maheswara loved walking and gardening. Most of all, he loved being with his family and volunteering in the SVS Balaji temple in Aurora, IL.

Uma Maheswara is survived by his wife, Krishna Atluri; sons, Bhupat Atluri and wife, Rajya Atluri, and Gowtham Atluri and wife, Pujita Atluri; and grandchildren, Girisha, Agastya, Meghana, and Varsha.

A public visitation will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Thursday, April 29, 2021 between 9:00am and 10:45am. A private ceremony will follow, starting at 11:00am. The ceremony will be live-streamed and available for viewing on this web page.
