Victor Earl Pierce, age 51, of Watha died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 22, 1960 in Burgaw and was the son of the late Edgar Earl Pierce and Shirley Batchelor Pierce.

Victor is survived by his loving family; his son, Earl Pierce and his wife, Samantha, of Watha; granddaughter, Elaina Pierce; sisters, Audrey P. Maready and her husband, David, of Chinquapin and Dale P. Simpson and her husband, Freddy of Ivanhoe; four nephews; three great nephews and one great niece.

Victor was an expert welder and was co-owner of P & S Welding from 1985 to 1995. He loved being outdoors in God's beautiful world, boating up and down the Northeast Cape Fear River. With a joyful spirit he never met a stranger and would always lend a helping hand if needed. Victor was loved and will be greatly missed.

Victor attended Kingdom Builders, 1504 N. Norwood St., Wallace, NC 28466, where his memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 with Pastor Brad Carter officiating. At other times the family will receive friends at Victor's home.

In lieu of flowers and in loving memory his family request that memorial gifts may be given to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 1316, Burgaw NC 28425.
