Victoria Valade Jordan, 42, of Burgaw died Monday, December 14, 2009 in Johnston County.

She was born February 19, 1967 in Wilmington, the daughter of Tom Thorpe of Wilmington and Linda Anthony of Burgaw. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Christopher James Jordan; children, Justin Charles Valade, Kourtney Renee Valade, Christa Lynn Jordan, and Emily Sholar (like a daughter) all of the home; best friend, Shaun Frye of Leland; brother, Daniel Bell of Rocky Point; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Vicky was a member of Jordans Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved all of her family and friends dearly. Her children, fishing, and hunting were her passions in life. Cherished memories of Vicky will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm. Thursday at Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Barnes and the Rev. William Hill Pearsall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
