Viola Norris Bryan, age 89, of Wallace died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bryan was born July 28, 1920 in Pender County and was the daughter of the late Ed and Janie Rivenbark Norris. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl B. Bryan and her only sister, Radie Manning.

Surviving are her devoted children, Victor C. Bryan and wife, Shirley of Maysville, Allen Bryan and wife, Peggy of Greenville, SC, Joan Bryan of Wallace, Bobby Bryan and wife, Linda of Surf City, Ronald Bryan and wife, Barbara of Columbia, SC, Charles Bryan and wife, Sue of Wallace, Michael Bryan and wife, Glenda of Wilmington and Mark Bryan and wife, Paula of Wallace; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and special friend and caregiver, Jackie Clarke.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, August 21, 2009 at Rockfish Cemetery in Wallace.
