Violet P. Ward, 78, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 and is now in the loving arms of her Savior.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil D. Ward, her daughter Susan Ward and her son Ricky Ward.

Violet is survived by three sons, Donnie Ward, and David Ward and wife Amy, one daughter Lisa Canady and husband Brian, all of Wilmington, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters Iris Fowler and Carolyn Ward, brothers Harry and Edgar Pope.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 50 years.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
