Virginia Cook Brawner, 90, of Willard passed peacefully from her earthly life Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at home in Willard.

She was born December 28, 1931 in Sandersville, GA, the daughter of  Eslie Cook and Addie Brookins Cook.  In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brittney Paschele Brawner.

Virginia is survived by her six children, Crystal Pietrowicz (Air Force veteran and college professor)  and her husband, Joe of Bath, ME, Marie Maples (Navy veteran) of Opelika, AL, Fred Brawner (Army veteran) of Garner, NC, Archer Brawner (mechanic and harmonic musician) of Willard, NC, Miles Brawner (guitarist) of Boone, NC, and Hans Brawner (guitarist) of Hernando, FL; grandchildren, Rachel Marie Roop, Cody Brawner, and Erik Pietrowicz; and great granddaughters, Hailey Marie Martel, Georgia Molina and Chloe Molina; and many extended family members.

Virginia loved her family and was loved in return.
