Obituary

Virginia Gale "June" Harrison Moore, age 69, of Largo, Florida and formerly of Atkinson passed peacefully at her home surrounded with love by her family on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

She was born April 20, 1944 in Pender County, the only child of the late Gale and Virginia Kelsey Harrison. June had many happy memories as a child growing up on Reb-Kee Blueberry Farm in Ivanhoe.

June is survived by her husband of 47 years, John William "Bill" Moore; daughters, Gale Moore and her husband, Steve Davis of Largo, FL and Sara Price of Seminole, FL; and grandchildren, Rebecca Davis, Alison Davis and Luke Price.

June loved her family and was a devoted wife and the greatest mom and grandmama. She loved the outdoors and could grow most anything. Her flowers, blueberries, vegetable gardens, and honey bees all flourished under her loving care. Being an outstanding homemaker, June was a fabulous cook, maker of all kinds of crafts and creator of a home filled with love, laughter and sunshine. June had a love for genealogy and history of our country. She contributed greatly as an organizing member of the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Her steadfast faith in her Lord carried her and Bill through her extended illness. June's family is grateful to God for her life and for your kindness, friendship and prayers.
