Virginia Zablocki, 92, of Commack, NY, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 8, 1934, in Queens, NY, to the late John Morris and the late Mary Michel Morris. Virginia was a truly special woman whose love touched everyone around her. She was the matriarch and heart of her family, always bringing everyone closer with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her family meant everything to her, and she was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially getting lost in a good book and playing cards with her friends, where laughter and good conversation were always part of the game. She gave her family countless memories, lessons, and moments that will be cherished forever. Although saying goodbye is incredibly difficult, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with her. Her love will remain the thread that connects us all, and she will never be forgotten.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Elaine Liberti and Kathleen Brandeburg; her grandchildren, Christina Brandeburg, Glen Brandeburg, Jennifer Liberti and her husband, Christopher Fleckenstein, Timothy Liberti and his wife, Amanda, and Michelle Hines and her husband, Eric; and her great-grandson, Benjamin Liberti.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Zablocki; her sister, Mary Pinterits; and her brother, John Morris.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
