Vivian McRae Roberts, 80, of Rocky Point, NC passed away unexpectedly Saturday January 17, 2015. Vivian was born October 14, 1934 in Mullins, SC to the late Gilbert and Mabel McRae.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bev Roberts, her brother Gilbert McRae Jr. and her daughter- in- law Shay Norris McCumber.

Vivian loved and attended Long Leaf Baptist Church in Wilmington. She was a long time employee of France Neckwear and Dorothy's Ruffled Originals in Wilmington before retiring from Del Labs in Rocky Point. She had a green thumb and enjoyed her vegetable gardens and flowers. She was a big sports fan and followed the Tar Heels, NASCAR Racing and the Atlanta Braves. She was well thought of, loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Johnny McCumber, daughter, Debbie Cunningham (Phil) both of Wilmington, her sister Elizabeth Walker (Bill) of Mullins, SC. She was known as "Nanny" to her 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

The Family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Thomas Eskew and staff at WSA and to Dr. Daniel Zinicola and staff of Rocky Point Medical for their attentive compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Long Leaf Baptist Church in Wilmington. The Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 10:00AM. Burial in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Rev. Eugene Ridley officiating.
