Vladimir Radev, 92, of Wilmington, passed away at home on Friday, October 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 26, 1930, in Bulgaria to the late Georgi and Sultana (Alexieva) Radev.

Vladimir was a professor of nuclear engineering and a mechanical engineer in the space industry. He was an acclaimed inventor, with seven inventions including electric vehicles, receiving many accolades and several patents. His interests included art, music, literature and poetry. Vladimir's knowledge of history and art was extraordinary. An exceptional spirit and a force of nature, Vladimir lived life with gusto. Most importantly, Vladimir was a loving husband and father, he will be missed greatly.

Vladimir is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Tzvetanka (Stoyanova) Radev; and his children.
