Wailen Daulphus Rivenbark, 85 years, Passed from his earthly life Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his home.

He was born August 15, 1939, in Pender County, the son of JC Rivenbark and Marie Wells Rivenbark. In addition to his parents Wailen was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Linda Ann Kelly Rivenbark.

Wailen is survived by his niece, Dot Craft and her husband Ira; great nephews, Timothy Jones and Christopher Jones and his wife, Eve, and their daughters, Hailey and Savannah; special friend, Lee Wells; and many extended family and friends.

Wailen was a lifelong Pender County farmer who was a true steward of his farmland. In addition to his many years of farming Wailen also grew vegetables in his garden and raised free range  chickens. Wailen was a man of few words but was a hard worker and a loyal friend.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
