Wallace James Srp, age 74, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 11, 1935 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio and was the son of the late Wallace L. and Theresa Swanda Srp.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 47 years, Florence Johnson Srp; son, Wallace "Wally" Srp; son, Gerald "Jerry" Srp and his sons, Ryan and Nathan Srp; daughter, London Caine and her son, Todd Griffin; daughter, Janet Suveges and her children, Anna Firth, John Wanio, Renee` Sprague, Shane Legare and Jodi Crosby; son, Raymond Smith and his daughter, Rae-Ann Hunt; six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Wallace was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who always cared for and loved his family. With his caring ways and wonderful sense of humor he was so much to so many. Wallace was a very forward thinking and innovative man who worked hard all of his life. He was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia. He was very proud to have personally met Walt Disney and receive an autographed Disney caricature which now hangs in Wallace and Florence's home. Wallace will be remembered for his sunny smile, his witty sense of humor and most of all his love for his family.

A memorial service will be at 12 noon Monday, August 23, 2010 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church with his service lovingly conducted by his family and friends.
