Wayne Alden Cobb, age 51, of Watha left this life for his eternal rest on Monday, December 31, 2012 from Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.

He was born on July 9, 1961 in Onslow County and was the son of Maxine Mobley Lien of Lakeland, Florida and Terry A. Cobb of Florida.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 30 years, Mary Susan Atkinson Cobb; his son, Daniel Cobb and wife, Elizabeth of Beargrass, NC and brother, Gary Cobb of Greensboro.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor William Mears officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon, one hour prior the funeral service at the church.

Wayne was a simple man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was humble, caring and totally selfless. He was a hard worker who never complained, but was determined to get the job done. To know Wayne was to love him. Being a beloved husband, father, son and brother, his life was dedicated to God and taking care of his family as long as his health permitted. Wayne will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved Wayne.
